Parukářka Park

An oasis in the middle of Prague

You can relax in Žižkov just as if you were in the countryside outside of the city! The Central Park Praha project offers its own 1.5-hectare park and it is also right next to one of the largest Prague parks – Parukářka. Prague residents have discovered breathtaking views of the panorama of the capital city as well as several opportunities for active and passive relaxation. Plus they are only a few steps away from a wide variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and clubs.

Vineyards, established in the 14th century by Emperor Charles IV, were originally located on Parukářka. The vineyard grange was purchased in the 19th century by the renowned Prague wigmaker (parukář in Czech) Jan Hrabánek and a weapons manufactory from two French entrepreneurs, Sellier & Bellot, stood here as well. Today’s Žižkovites come to Parukářka to take walks, have picnics and delight in the view. In the winter the park becomes a favourite spot for sledding and children’s games. Parukářka will certainly entice you as well.
